Servicing a Magnum Hydraulic

In Field Service or Magnum Certified Service

The Magnum Hydraulic Lifter is the heart of the Magnum-Pushrod.   Maintaining the lifter is easy and cost effective.    In the Field the Hydraulic Lifter is easily disassembled and one the components are loose the cleaning is done with any degrease solution.

 Don’t Do This When Cleaning Magnum Lifters

Each Magnum Lifter is a fitted pair of Barrel and Insert.

Once Separated and Mixed with other Lifters

it is impossible to rematch without Timing each Lifter.

Here is the Proper Procedure

Some Magnum Lifters have a keeper ring.

Arrange the lifters to keep each one separate from the other.

Some Magnum Lifters do not have a keeper ring.

Keeping the lifter parts together allows for proper pairing once cleaned.

Some Magnum Lifters do not have a keeper ring.

Some Magnum Lifters have a keeper ring.

A brush works well to get any residual oil out of the lifter.

We use a cleaning tank with solvent to degrease the parts.

Clean each part inside and out.
